Mercy Knows …!

Is there anything impossible for Him? Some may argue that God cannot do or support evil, and that is true, because His very Name is goodness itself. In God, there are endless possibilities, and nothing is beyond His power.

He is the One who turns sorrow into joy and mourning into dancing. He opened the eyes of the blind, unstopped the ears of the deaf, and made the lame walk. He divided the Red Sea, delivered Zion from bondage, and knows and understands all things. Truly, He does all things well.

What Can God Not Do?

Mercy Tuesday reminds us of this truth: where mercy abounds, human merit takes the back seat. We do not rely on our efforts alone, because they can fail us. We rely on God’s mercy: mercy that wins, mercy that heals, mercy that protects, mercy that provides every good gift. Not our worthiness, but His mercy.

Today we declare:
Mercy will speak where your voice has failed.
Mercy will lead where your compass has stopped.
Mercy will heal where doctors have given up.
Mercy will strengthen where your strength has failed.
Mercy will answer where your name is called.
Mercy will take over where your ability falls short.
Mercy will win where the battle is fierce.

You are not alone. You have Mercy, revealed in Christ, who by His blood conquered sin and death.
