In God We Trust
Today, St. Paul in his letter to Timothy (1 Tim. 6:13–16) calls us to remain obedient to God’s Word until the return of Christ. This is not a temporary or occasional obedience, but a constant and consistent practice of the Word, no matter the circumstances of life.
In the Gospel (Luke 8:4–15), Jesus reminds us that the Word of God is proclaimed to all people and across all generations. Yet the fruit it bears depends on the openness of the heart that receives it. The Word can be scattered everywhere, but only fertile soil produces a harvest.
Upon reflection, we see that there are many simple ways we too can help spread the Word: by the witness of a T-shirt with a message like “I am because God is,” “I am a trophy of God’s grace,” “I am a miracle of God,” or through the Faith-Chat Platform.
By giving out rosaries, small prayer booklets, or Bibles, by inviting someone to Mass, to a parish group, or to a retreat like our Becoming Retreat, these small acts may seem ordinary, but they can touch hearts and plant seeds of faith.
Yet, the key remains the openness of the heart. How often have we made excuses to avoid the Word, ignoring a call to prayer, declining a church activity, or turning away from community life? These are the moments when we resist the seed, and the Word fails to penetrate and bear fruit.
Pray today that God will make your heart fertile soil, open to hearing His Word, eager to keep it, and ready to bear fruit. May His Word grow within you and, through you, bless the world. Amen.
I am a blessed son of GOD and Divinely rescued by Mother Mary.
My desire to remain faithful to GOD and hold the belief of my doctrine is Amen and Amen .
