The Last Things in Life
Friends, As we draw closer to the end of the Liturgical Year C, the Church begins to turn our attention toward the last things, the final days, the coming of Christ, and the call to accountability. Each reading in these closing weeks invites us to look inward, to measure how we have lived the year in faith, and to renew our commitment to the mission entrusted to us.
In today’s reading (Romans 15:14-21), St. Paul recognises the gifts and maturity of the believers in Rome but reminds them that his calling is not for self-glory-it is for service.
St. Paul understood that his mission was entrusted to him. He was accountable to God for how he used the grace given to him. Accountability means remembering that every gift, position, and influence we carry is borrowed from God and must be used for His glory. To be accountable is to remain faithful even when no one is watching, to speak truth even when it costs, and to serve with integrity knowing that Christ Himself is our reward.
Dear Friends,
St. Paul desired to preach the Gospel where Christ had not yet been named. This is the heart of a true pioneer, the courage to go where others have not gone and to build what has not yet been built. God calls us not just to maintain what exists but to create, innovate, and expand His kingdom in new ways.
Why follow trends when you can create a new one?
For every trend, there is a gap waiting to be filled – an unmet need, a hidden opportunity, a soul yet to be reached. It takes courage to step away from comfort zones, but that courage is what makes legends. Be a legend.
Every believer has a place in God’s great mission – a niche, a lane designed just for you. Some are called to speak, others to serve, to heal, to build, to write, to inspire, to lead. The grace of God equips each person uniquely but for one purpose: that Christ may be known. To find your niche is to listen to the Spirit and move boldly where your passion meets God’s purpose.
I pray that we may be faithful in what God has entrusted to us, courageous to break new grounds, and wise enough to see the gaps waiting for our voice, our gifts, and our grace. May we rise above imitation to inspiration, not just to follow trends, but to set them in Christ.
Be bold. Be faithful. Be a legend for the Gospel.

May God give us the grace of boldness to preach the gospel to the end of the earth through Christ our lord,Amen 🙏
