Approach God in Humility
Today we are reminded to approach God as He truly is, not as we imagine Him to be. God is merciful and all-knowing; He sees our needs even before we speak them.
St. Paul, in Romans 11:29–36, reminds us that:
“the gifts and the call of God are irrevocable.”
God never takes back His gift.
His grace is not a temporary contract but an eternal covenant. He does not change His mind or withdraw His love, and His faithfulness is never dependent on our faithfulness. Our infidelity may delay grace, but it can never destroy God’s purpose.
Paul also leads us to contemplate the depth of God’s wisdom, a call to surrender when we reach the limit of our control. When life’s challenges stretch beyond our understanding, we are invited to trust in God’s wisdom and to worship Him even when we do not understand.
Finally, he reveals the mystery of our being: that we are created from God, through God, and for God. Everything begins in Him, lives through Him, and ends in Him. God’s mercy is at work working all things for our good and His glory. To God alone be glory forever.
Prayer:
Lord God, You are the source of all things, the wisdom that guides our hearts, and the mercy that sustains our days. Teach us to trust You when life confuses us, to rest in You when our strength fails, and to worship You when we do not understand. May Your gifts within us never be wasted and Your call never be ignored. Help us to live each moment from You, through You, and for You, that our lives may bring glory to Your holy name.
Amen.

Thank Lord for your mercy.
