Reconciliation to God Through Christ
Today, we are reminded of the great gift we have: access to the throne of God’s grace through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. In Colossians 1:21–22, St. Paul highlights the transformation Christ has brought into our lives.
Before Jesus, we were far from God; separated by sin, enslaved by weakness, and unable to save ourselves. But through His real and painful death on the cross, we are no longer strangers. We have been reconciled, drawn close, and given a new identity as children of God: trophies of His grace and miracles of God.
This reconciliation, however, is not just a one-time event; it is meant to be sustained. We live it out through gratitude, perseverance, and faith. If Christ has set us free, then we must truly live as free people, showing it in our faith, in acts of love and charity, and in hope that does not fade.
So, friends, take this as encouragement: no matter how far you may feel from God, reconciliation is always possible through the cross.
In Christ, and with the prayers of our Blessed Mother Mary, we walk boldly into the throne of grace.
