Darkness Has No Power Over You!

In Colossians 1:9–14, St. Paul assures the Church in Colossae of his prayers, asking that their faith remain strong and that they come to a full knowledge of God’s will. He reminds them of God’s saving work: “He has taken us out of the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of His beloved Son, Jesus Christ.”

This is both consoling and encouraging. You no longer have any pact with the powers of darkness, you are now children of the light!

What does darkness mean?

It can be lack of inspiration, sin, error, anger, resentment, negative emotions, constant bad reports, division, and all that drags us away from God.

As you read this, pray now:

Darkness has no power over me and my household.

By the authority of Christ in me, I release myself and my family (husband/wife/children/parents) from every foothold of darkness.

We belong to the LIGHT now and forever. Amen.

And what does light mean?

It is inspiration, righteousness, beauty, success, excellence, peace, love, and life.

Pray again:
My family and I belong to the LIGHT. We are saved in Christ, and there is no going back, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Friends, darkness has its powers, but where light shines, darkness disappears. Still, it waits for a chance to rise again. This is why St. Paul warns us: “Do not give the devil an opportunity.”

Stay alert: spiritually, physically, and morally.

Remain steadfast in prayer and good works, and darkness will never have power over your soul again.

Congratulations, your celebration continues in Jesus name. Amen 🙏🏽

Please read and pray with 1King 4 and Psalm 56:2-14.

May the Lord bless his words in our hearts.

Amen
